Designing Garments to Evolve over Time, 2017-present

Designing Garments to Evolve over Time is a project by Professor Lynda Grose (California College of the Arts), Associate Professor Vibeke Riisberg (Kolding Design School) and Associate Professor Timo Rissanen (University of Technology Sydney). The project investigates a product-service system in fashion and textiles that aims to extend the useful life of a garment by offering the user visual variation over time. This is facilitated by designing garments for partial disassembly so that the garment can be flattened for digital textile printing.
A 2018 paper from the project is available here.
